A freestanding bath is usually the centrepiece of the room, so size and shape matter most. Our freestanding baths from Pietra Bianca, ADP, Otti, Fienza and Madu Living mostly come in 1500, 1600, 1700 and 1800mm lengths, with round options such as the Pietra Bianca Romeo at 1350mm diameter.

Material changes the weight a lot. Pietra Bianca composite stone baths are heavy: the Chelsea 1700mm is listed at around 140 kg empty and the Romeo at around 160 kg, and Madu Living baths are terrazzo, so check your floor with your builder. ADP and Otti acrylic baths are far lighter and easier to get into an upstairs bathroom. The size, capacity and waste of each bath are on its product page.

What size bath fits my room?

Leave space around the bath for cleaning, and for a floor-mounted mixer if you use one. A 1500 to 1600mm bath suits most family bathrooms; 1700 to 1800mm needs a larger room.

Do I need a floor mixer or a wall spout?

Either works. A floor-mounted mixer suits a bath in the middle of the room; a wall spout needs the bath close to a wall.

Can my floor take a stone bath?

Stone baths are much heavier than other baths, especially once full. Ask your builder to check, particularly on upper floors.

How much is delivery?

Freestanding acrylic baths ship by kerbside freight for a flat $249; stone baths for a flat $399. Queensland orders pay the same delivery rates as the rest of Australia. Pickup from Loganholme is free.
