Brushed nickel vs chrome
Chrome is the bright classic. Brushed nickel softens reflections and sits closer to stainless / soft-silver tones. Cool and warm brushed nickel variants exist in our range - use them when you want the brush direction to match a specific vanity or appliance look.
Commercial differences
- Undertone: Chrome is cool, mirror-bright. Brushed nickel is softer silver; cool brushed nickel leans blue-grey, warm brushed nickel leans slightly champagne-silver.
- Tile pairing: Chrome loves crisp whites and high-gloss tiles. Brushed nickel pairs well with stone, concrete looks and timber where glare would fight the room.
- Maintenance feel: Chrome shows water spots quickly but wipes clear. Brushed textures can hide light spotting better, though they still want a soft cloth - not polish pastes that fill the brush lines.
- Kitchen crossover: If the kitchen sink is stainless, brushed nickel often bridges bathroom and kitchen more calmly than bright chrome.
