  • Bathroom renovation checklist: measure, match and order in the right order

    Sep 18, 2026

A bathroom renovation runs smoother when product decisions follow the build sequence - not the other way around. This checklist is how we walk customers through a typical Loganholme / Brisbane south remodel at Elenni: measure first, lock wet-area layout, then choose finishes you can actually match.

    1. Measure and photograph what you have

    • Room length / width, ceiling height, window and door swings.
    • Existing waste positions (toilet, shower, bath, basin) and rough-in heights for mixers.
    • Hot/cold feed locations and whether the vanity is wall-hung or freestanding.

Bring photos and a tape measure to the showroom - it saves a second trip.

    2. Decide the layout early

    3. Lock the "wet" products before tiles

    1. Vanity size and mount - confirm plumbing access and bowl overhang.
    2. Basin - width, depth, tap holes; use the basin sizing guide.
    3. Tapware and shower set - one finish family where you can; read finishes and gunmetal vs matte black.
    4. Bath (if any) - length, waste position, freestanding clearance.
    5. Wastes and drains - shower / floor wastes guide plus basin plugs & wastes.

    4. Check compliance on the shortlist

Ask for WaterMark on plumbing fittings and WELS on taps, showers and toilets. We verify manufacturer paperwork for the SKU - we do not invent ratings.

    5. Match accessories last (but not as an afterthought)

Towel rails, toilet-roll holders and hooks in the same finish code as the mixer. Browse accessories once the tapware finish is locked.

    6. Logistics with a Loganholme showroom

    • Confirm lead times with us before your tiler books - bulky vanities and baths need clear site access.
    • Click & Collect or delivery from Loganholme; rates at checkout. Inspect on arrival; do not install damaged goods.
    • Keep invoices for manufacturer warranty claims - Elenni helps you lodge them.

    Quick showroom visit kit

    • Tile / benchtop sample or accurate photos in daylight.
    • Room sketch with waste positions.
    • Budget band and must-have finish (e.g. matte black vs chrome).
