Vanity mount types: wall-hung, freestanding and when to use each

Mount type changes how a bathroom feels and how it is built. Here is the practical split we walk through with customers at Elenni.

Wall-hung vanities

Cabinets fix to the wall so the floor runs underneath. They suit modern elevations, make mopping easier, and work well in smaller rooms when proportions are right. Freestanding / floor-standing vanities

The cabinet sits on the floor (legs or plinth). Often simpler where wall framing is uncertain, or where you want visual weight. See freestanding vanities.

Space-saver and compact

Powder rooms and en suites often need 450-750 mm widths. Check space-saver vanities and confirm basin and trap clearance.

Double vs single bowl

Double-bowl layouts need width and plumbing for two wastes; single-bowl keeps cost and complexity down. Match bowl type to basins early.
