Wall-hung vanities clear the floor for cleaning and give a lighter line in smaller ensuites and powder rooms - provided the wall structure and plumbing can take the load. Freestanding (floor-standing) cabinets suit bathrooms where you prefer a solid base, simpler install against existing waste positions, or a more traditional elevation. Sizing that actually fits
Width is only the start. Check projection from the wall, door and drawer clearances, waste position, and whether you need a single or double bowl. Measure the alcove and bring tile or paint samples if you can - photos flatten depth and finish. Pair the cabinet with a matching basin and tapware so mixer reach and tap holes work together.
