Shopping bathroom fittings in Australia? WaterMark is the certification scheme that confirms certain plumbing products are suitable for use under the Plumbing Code of Australia. This page is a plain-English buyer guide - not a certificate list. Always confirm the marking and licence details on the product page, packaging, or supplier documentation for the exact SKU you order.
What WaterMark covers (buyer view)
- Tapware, showers, toilets and many other plumbing fittings sold for use in Australian buildings
- A WaterMark licence number and product identification that licensed plumbers and certifiers look for
- Evidence that the product type has been assessed against the relevant Australian Technical Specification
WaterMark is about suitability for plumbing installation. It is separate from style, finish colour, or warranty length. If a product page does not show WaterMark information, ask us or check the brand's published data for that model - we do not invent or guess licence numbers.
How to check before you buy
- Open the product page for the exact mixer, shower or fitting you want
- Look for WaterMark / licence wording in the description, specs, or downloads
- Confirm the marking matches the variant (finish changes do not always change licence text, but model changes can)
- Give the licence details to your plumber or certifier if they need them for sign-off
